Hottest China becomes the world's largest renewabl

  • Detail

China has become the world's largest renewable energy consumer. BP world energy statistical yearbook (2017) (hereinafter referred to as the Yearbook) was released in Beijing on the 5th. According to the Yearbook, China's energy consumption in 2016 was generally high, but the elongation of materials increased by 1.3%, less than a quarter of the average level of the past decade. At the same time, China has surpassed the United States to become the world's largest consumer of renewable energy

the Yearbook points out that although China's energy consumption growth has slowed down, it is still the world's largest energy consumer, accounting for 23% of global energy consumption and 27% of global energy demand growth

it is inconvenient to take and place samples. In fossil energy, natural gas is the fastest growing consumption, followed by oil and coal. The growth rates of these three fossil fuels are lower than their respective ten-year average levels. Among non fossil energy sources, solar energy consumption has the fastest growth, followed by wind energy and nuclear energy. Hydropower has increased by 4.0% in the past year, the slowest growth rate since 2011. According to the Yearbook, China has become the world's largest renewable energy consumer. Over the past decade, China's share of renewable energy consumption in the global total has increased from 2% to 20.5% in 2016, according to the survey last month. However, in 2016, China's coal production fell by 7.9% and oil production fell by 7.2%, both of which were the largest declines in history
